Devices in ICT

Input Device
Input Device inputs or equipment that is pealatan that serves to enter data or program and send the data or the program in the form of digital data to be processed by the processing center on the computer. Some commonly used input devices include:
Keyboard
• Mouse
• Flopydisk Drive
• Scanners
• CD ROM / CDRW
• DVD ROM / DVD RW
Keyboard
The keyboard is a device that has buttons similar to a typewriter and a few additional buttons with various functions.
The keyboard used to enter data or to give com
mands to the computer.
The types of keyboards are: Serial, PS / 2 and USB
Some brands of keyboards in the market including: Logitech, Accer, etc..
Mouse
Mouse is an input device which functions to move the pointer on the screen to run a command or program icon that appears on the monitor screen
Type Mouse, among others, namely: Serial, PS / 2 and USB

Some brands of mouse in the market including: Logitech, Genius, etc..
Parts of the Mouse
Standard mouse pointer shape is as follows ()
Terms in the mouse:
• Click the mouse: Pressing the left mouse button 1 times
• Double Click: Pressing the left mouse button 2 times quickly
• Drag and Drop: Pressing the left mouse button while on hold and moved it to the desired limit and then release the button again
• Right Click: Pressing the right mouse button 1 times
Scroll lock: Scrolling screen upwards or downward

Floppy Disk Drive
Is an input device which functions to read data or program from flopy disk data storage media (diskettes). This tool can also serve to write or record data into a diskette. Some brands flopy Disk Drive in the market including: Panasonic, Sony, Samsung etc..
Scaner
Equipment input serves to transfer or convert images, photos, text manually into digital data that can be understood by computers.
Some brands of scanners on the market include: Canon, HP, etc. Accer.
Optical Devices
CD ROM
Equipment input functions to read data or program from the CD data storage media (Compac Disc)
CD RW
Besides functioning to read data or program from the CD data storage media (Compac Disc) can also write and record data on CD CD ROM / CD RW has a different speed, among others: 40 X, 52 X, ff. Some brands include: Samsung, LG etc.
DVD ROM
Equipment input functions to read data or program from a data storage media either CD or DVD
DVD RW
Besides functioning to read data or program from a data storage media CD / DVD can also write and record data on CD / DVDs DVD ROM / DVD RW has a different kecepan include: 40 X, 52 X, ff. Some Brands: Samsung, LG, Philip, etc.
Process Equipment
Process Equipment is a CPU (Central Processing Unit) which is the main and most important unit processes in the computer that controls the entire process from data processing equipment to read data from input, process or process until the release of information (output) to the output equipment. CPU consists of three functional sections:
1. ALU (Arithmetic Logical Unit) function does all processes that require mathematical calculations and
logical comparisons
2. CU (Control Unit) functions to control all other equipment.
3. Function registers store data to be processed in the ALU.
Some existing equipment within the CPU include:

Mainboard
Processor
Memory
Mainboard
Mainboard is one of the devices in a computer that is used as a place to install or put some other equipment such as: processor, memory, data cables (interface) hard disk, flopy disks, Card (card) crate: VGA Cards, NICs (network cards) and so forth.
Mainboard types include: Starting from the class of AT 486, Pentium I, Pentium II, Pentium III to Pentium 4 class.
Some brands such Mainboard: ECS, ASUS, U.S. R
ack, etc.
Processor
Processor is a processor chip which is the brain and central control various other devices so that the computer can work with each other. Processor size is MHz (Mega Hertz) that is a matter of speed in processing data / information
Some types of processors:
• Processor Pentum I 75 MHz - 200 MHz etc ...
• Pentium II 300 MHz - 450 MHz, etc. ..

• Pentium III 650 MHz - 950 MHz and so on.
• Pentium 4 Processor GMHz 1.3 - 3.0 GHz ff.
Brand processor include: INTEL, AMD. IBM etc.
Memory
Memory is where store data or instructions. The larger memory capacities in providing the greater the data or instructions that can be accommodated to be processed.
Some Types of Memory include: ROM, RAM, EDORAM, SDRAM, DDRAM, RDRAM, etc.
Commonly used memory capacity ranging from: 16 MB 32 MB, 54 MB, 256 MB 512 MB, 1 GB, etc.
Brand-brand memory on the market: Genes V, Visipro, Kingston etc.
